Anderson University Recital 2018

Karri York, soprano, has performed solo and chamber recitals, and operatic and musical theatre roles.  She has had intense and extensive training in the area of voice, and has been teaching at all age levels since 1989.  She currently teaches voice on the faculties at IUPUI, and Anderson University, as well as for Pre-College and Adult Music Programs at The University of Indianapolis.  In addition, she has also taught voice at Ball State University and Butler University.  Dr. York performs regularly as a singer, and masterclass clinician. While her foundation for singing has been based on classical and operatic training, her voice students of all ages sing a variety of styles which include Classical, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Contemporary Christian.  All lessons not only aspire to support the student’s musical goals, but to offer a healthy and musical approach to singing so performance success is achieved.  Dr. York’s current and former students are professionally teaching and performing throughout the United States and abroad.

Biography
